    Nutrition

The Centered Foundation looks to address these health concerns by creating and offering programs that make whole-food eating practical, affordable, and appealing for the community. Our Cooking and Nutrition class will be hands-on for parents and children and teach families how to prepare simple, budget-friendly meals using fresh ingredients. By combining nutrition education with skill-building and information on improved food access, the organization can empower individuals to make lasting changes that protect their health and well-being.

    Movement

Regular movement and exercise are essential for maintaining both physical and mental health. Consistent activity provides a wide range of benefits from strengthening the heart and improving circulation to supporting strong muscles and bones and boosting energy levels. Beyond these and other physical benefits, exercise reduces stress, enhances mood, and can improve sleep quality. By encouraging regular movement, The Centered Foundation is empowering families to build habits that not only prevent disease but also foster a higher quality of life for years to come. Check out our Youth Sponsorship program if you have a child who needs financial support to get started in a physical activity program!

    Community Engagement

The Centered Foundation recognizes that community engagement plays a vital role in social and emotional well-being, offering individuals a sense of belonging, purpose, and support. Actively participating in community events, volunteer opportunities, or group activities can reduce feelings of isolation, build meaningful relationships, and strengthen emotional resilience. By creating and connecting people to local resources, the Foundation helps ensure that individuals and families have the tools they need to thrive, fostering a healthier, more connected community where people feel valued and empowered. Our annual 5K and the Super Kids Fitness Challenge are two ways we stay connected to our community.
