Our Mission: The Centered Foundation provides opportunities to youth and families to enhance their health through education, youth sponsorships, and community engagement.
Why We Exist: Technology and a culture of convenience has permanently changed our world, and our society has shifted to moving less, engaging virtually instead of in person, and eating highly processed calories instead of whole foods. The Centered Foundation aims to reverse negative trends by educating and transforming lifestyles to reduce the need for future intervention and improve health.
What We Do
Education: Through programs like Mindful of Me, a multi-week program designed support the physical, mental, and emotional development for 9-12 year old girls, to Cooking and Nutrition classes for parents and their child(ren), the Centered Foundation provides educational opportunities that foster healthy habits.
Youth Sponsorships: Help us introduce the young people of our community to the importance of regular movement and exercise. We are building a youth sponsorship program that will enable families in need get their children into physical activity programs.
Community Engagement: We can make an impact on the local level one small step at a time. Establishing opportunities to get our community together with intention is powerful. Our sponsorship of The Super Kids Obstacle Course at Troy’s Strawberry Festival and our annual Start Strong Stay Strong 5K give us the opportunities to do just that. The Centered Foundation will continue to build up our community through other events like this.
